Racial Equity Transformation ~ Deena Hayes-Green

Racial Equity Transformation ~ Deena Hayes-Green

Join us as we personally and collectively participate in our own transformation. In this lively and participatory intensive, Racial Equity Institute director Deena Hayes-Greene will use stories and research data to present a perspective that racism is fundamentally structural in nature and is so normalized as to be almost invisible. It is hard to address a problem that we cannot see clearly or understand well. Yet, as a cross-system problem, we are all connected to these issues. Participants will gain an understanding of the nature of structural racism, and how diagnosis determines treatment. By examining characteristics of modern-day racial inequity, the presentation introduces an analysis that most find immediately helpful and relevant. Sunday 9:00am - 12:30pm

For this intensive, we are offering a limited number of equity seats for women of color in financial need. If you are requesting an equity seat, complete the registration process without adding this intensive to your cart. Then contact us (through our email contact form, or give us a call at 877-739-6636) to request an equity seat. We will add the intensive, at no cost, to your existing registration.
