The conference is
getting close; can I still register?
If you'd like to join us, walk-in registration will open at 8:00 am Friday morning and will be open until 4:00 pm Friday. Be sure to look at the Confirmation Letter and Directions before heading to the camp.
Available for walk-ins are:
- registration ($285, includes camping),
- ce fees for nurses ($75), and
- intensives ($45).
We are sold out of all indoor lodging, Nourishing Traditions Meal Tickets (plenty of food vendors~), and youth programs (children and teens). We'll accept checks, cash, and credit cards (Visa & Mastercard). Hope to see you there!
I am already registered. Can I add options to my registration?
You can add intensives and CE fees when you get to the conference. Indoor lodging and meal tickets are sold out. See the the Lodging & Food page for other options.
What should I bring? How and when do I get there?
Please read the Confirmation Letter and Directions for answers to logistical questions. We're very busy right now preparing for this year's event.
Be warm: Pack WARM clothes and bedding! Remember, you'll be outdoors much of the weekend, you need to bring your own bedding, and none of the lodging is heated. It could be foggy in the mornings and evenings, and it could rain.
Be on time: To be on time for the classes you want to attend, allow 1-1/2 hours to register, drop off your belongings, park, and settle into your campsite or lodging. Bring your own lunch for Friday, or you can buy food from one of our food vendors.
I would like to arrive Thursday. Is that possible?
Sorry, we cannot accept early arrivals. If you need Thursday night lodging, check out the Lodging & Food page of the website for some recommendations in Asheville and Black Mountain. And we look forward to seeing you Friday morning!
Are there any Work Exchange positions open?
Work exchange positions are full.
I see your youth programs are full. Is there room for just one more?
Minors ages 2-17 must be registered in order to attend. And our childcare and young women’s program did fill up early this year. We have been working with the staff of the youth programs to increase the numbers but we are now totally maxed out. You can send a message to Ema Carmona with your name, youth name, and youth age, to be added to the waiting list, but it is highly unlikely that a space will open up.
What is the camp layout? How close is the camping to bathrooms? How close is my cabin to the parking?
Click here for a map of the camp so you can see what's where.
I need to cancel. Can I get a refund?
Our cancellation policy is clearly stated on the Pricing & Info page of the website: “As of August 30th, there will be NO refunds. If you are unable to attend, you can transfer your registration to a woman of your choice.” If you wish to transfer your registration, just send a message to Ema Carmona with your name, the name of the woman who will be taking your place, and her email address. We will take care of the rest. Or you can send a message asking us to donate your registration to a woman on the scholarship waiting list.
Do I need to sign up for classes ahead of time?
No class sign ups are necessary. You will be given a program that contains a schedule and class descriptions when you check in. You just pick and choose the classes and events you want to attend. The only exception is the intensives, which require pre-registration and an additional fee.
How do I connect with others to share rides?
This year the SE Wise Women Forum is available for arranging rideshares. You will need a forum account to use the ridesharing board. To create an account, browse to the Forum home page, click Register in the top toolbar, and then follow the instructions. If you already have an account, click here to go directly to the Ride Sharing section of the forum.
I read that we cannot bring dogs. But my dog is very well behaved/has never been left alone/etc. Can you make an exception?
No. To honor our agreement with the camp and with our insurance provider, we will adhere to our “absolutely no pets” policy. We will not make any exceptions. If you bring an animal with you, you will be turned away.
This is my first time at the conference. Can I ask a few questions so I know what to expect?
Hundreds of women have attended the conference before and they would enjoy sharing their experiences. Feel free to ask questions on the SE Wise Woman forum or our Facebook page.
