Minors age 2-17 must be registered in order to attend. Children ages 2-10 may take part in childcare activities, during workshop hours only. Children will enjoy games, crafts, and nature walks supervised by a fun and caring staff.

The Young Women’s Circle also runs during workshop hours and is for girls only, ages 11-17. These women will be immersed in a nurturing environment, engaging in activities such as herb walks, dance, and arts & crafts. Youth Registration is $80 which does not include meals or lodging.

Cancellations and refunds

If you cancel: Fees are 50% refundable until August 25th. After August 25th, there will be no refunds. Fees can be transferred at any time to a woman of your choice.

If we cancel: SEWHC is expecting to hold the Conference, rain or shine. In the unlikely event that we were forced to cancel, we would refund as much of the registration fees as possible, which could mean we would be unable to offer any refunds.

Group discounts

If you are part of an organization, school, or even a great group of friends, consider becoming a Group Leader (pdf format). Organize a group of women to register together and you all will save money.

Getting there

Camp Rockmont is about a 10-15 minute drive from the towns of Black Mountain and Asheville, NC.  If you will be flying in, the closest airports are: Asheville, NC – ½  hour, Greenville, SC – 1 ½  hours, and Charlotte, NC – 2 ½  hours. We do not offer ground transportation to or from the airports, although rideshares from the airports are encouraged on our ride share forum. Directions to the camp will be included in your confirmation letter and are available here as printed Directions (pdf)

Ride sharing

We encourage ride sharing because it not only lowers the environmental impact of the conference, but also because it assists women in attending the conference who might not otherwise be able to do so. In addition, ride sharing gives you a chance to connect with other women.

This year the SE Wise Women Forum is available for arranging rideshares. If you are driving and have room in your car, please post a notice to offer a ride or check to see if a woman needs a ride from your area or an airport near you. If you are flying or need a ride, post a note on the forum with the details and check to see if someone has already offered a ride from your area or the airport you are flying into. Rides are often needed for early work exchange arrivals as well as for the official conference start time.

You will need a forum account to use the ridesharing board. To create an account, browse to the forum home page, click Register in the top toolbar, and then follow the instructions. If you already have an account, click here to go directly to the Ride Sharing section of the forum.

Work exchange

We are pleased to have work exchange opportunities for women who want to keep costs down and be part of the inner cricle of volunteers who help bring the conference to life. Partial Work Exchangers work for 8 hours in exchange for $120 off the $240 registration cost. Hours are scheduled for either the few days prior to the event or during the event, depending on your availability and our needs.

We are still accepting applications for the Partial Work Exchange program. The Full Work Exchange program in now full. You can still get on the waiting list for the Full Exchange program by sending in an application. If you are accepted into the Partial program, we will notify you if a full exchange becomes available. Download the Work exchange application (pdf) here.

We are also looking for women to help with our sound systems. Contact Lee Warren if you're experienced and would like to trade your skills for conference registration.

Scholarships

Generous donations from participants and supporters allow women who would otherwise be unable to attend to experience this life-changing event. You may donate either in the checkout process or using this printable form: Donor Form (pdf format)

We prioritize women with financial need, particularly those who are disadvantaged in their access to resources, such as women of color, physically challenged women, and elders. Scholarship Application (pdf format).
