Classes are grouped in sections for ease of understanding only. Participants may take classes in any section at any time without preregistration (except intensives which you must sign up for).
| Herb Walk: Field Botany for Herbalists (Weeds and Walks)
with Juliet Blankespoor, Friday 2:30-4:00 This hands-on course will focus on botanical terms helpful in plant identification. Using a hand-lens we will explore the juicy reproductive details of several flowers. Details of pollination, fertilization and seed dispersal will also be covered. |

with Corinna Wood, Friday 4:30-6:00 Want to learn how to use common wild plants and garden “weeds” as your source of herbal medicines? Become more self-reliant and naturally healthy by learning how to identify, harvest, and prepare the wild plants at your doorstep as food and medicine. |

A cornucopia of medicine abounds amongst common, abundant, and renewable, naturalized botanicals. Empower yourself to reconnect with the free food and healing all around us. |

with Suki Roth, Saturday 11:00-12:30 Come meet the large bouquet of plants the NC Mountains offers us for our journey through menopause. Become more familiar with the gentle yet supportive roles they offer to this special time for women. |

with Jeanie Martin, Saturday 3:00-4:30 Plants are a part of the 470 million year old story of these mountains. Let’s remember the journeys of the soil, water, plants, animals and humans that created the biodiversity here. We will focus on the perennial plants that grow abundantly. |
| Herb Walk: Drawing the Plants (Weeds and Walks)
with June Ellen Bradley, Saturday 5:00-6:30 Bring your favorite drawing implement and some paper and experience the plants in a whole new light. Getting to know a few plants this way can help you deeply remember them. Experiencing plant energies through images trains you to nonverbally develop relationship. |
| Herb Walk: Walking, Talking, & Tasting (Weeds and Walks)
with Anya Syrkin, Sunday 9:00-10:30 Become attuned to the wonderful healing nuances that nature can bring into our lives. We will walk and see with an open heart, hear with full awareness and joyfully notice our responses to the plants. We will identify, nibble and smell. |
| Herb Walk: Plant Spirit Journey (Weeds and Walks) with Suki Roth, Saturday 3:00-4:30 We can access information directly from the plants themselves by using our six senses to go into deep meditation. We will use this technique to open the doors of plant perception and communicate directly with their heart-centered messages. |
