Medicinal Resins—Frankincense, Myrrh, Benzoin

Mastic, frankincense, myrrh, and benzoin are ancient remedies with a long history of use in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East. This lecture will introduce the medicinal actions of these resins, information on their medicinal and ritual uses, and guidelines for preparing them as medicines.

Lore of the Deadly Plants

Enjoy this storytelling session about the deadly nightshades, witches brews, and other magical potions.  We will discuss Belladonna, Mandrake, Henbane, Datura and others!  Learn the history of the Solanaceous plant family which also  includes common tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, cayenne, potatoes!
