Bringing It To Life: Herbal How-To

Classes are grouped in sections for ease of understanding only. Participants may take classes in any section at any time without preregistration (except intensives which you must sign up for).


Botanical Skin Care (Herbal How-to)
with Teresa Boardwine, Friday 2:30-4:00

Cleanse, Restore, Nourish your skin from the inside. Exfoliate, Moisturize and Renew from the outside. Learn which Botanicals can be used internally and externally for the best skin you can possibly have. We’ll also look at bites, burns, stings, wounds, and more.
Grow Woodland Plants (Herbal How-to)
with with Jeanine Davis, Ph.D., , Friday 4:30-6:00
Learn how to start and grow from some of your favorite woodland medicinal herbs. Black cohosh, goldenseal, wild ginger, and others will be included. Pot up a small root cutting to take back to your own shaded garden.

Sacred Herbal Baths (Herbal How-to)
with June Ellen Bradley, Sunday 11:00-12:30
Experience a way to round out your bathing experience to include the plants, music and healing. Transform a daily task into a spiritual experience! We will experience an Ecuadorian cleansing ceremony as well as make our own sacred herbal healing brew.
Medicine Can be a BALL! (Herbal How-to)
with Rosemary Gladstar, Saturday 11:00-12:30
Make medicines that are effective, well formulated and taste yummy. We’ll make throat balls, zoom balls, and aphrodisiac balls.  The class will include recipes, demonstration, and samples.
Healthy Home Products (Herbal How-to)
with Elizabeth Bloomquist, Saturday 3:00-4:30
Get the low-down on making wholistic and green products. Learn to make cleaning sprays, wooden floor oils, and air fresheners as well as bath salts, sugar scrubs, and masks. With local, simple, and eco ingredients you can get as creative as your imagination.

Cayenne, Garlic, Cinnamon, Turmeric, Black Pepper, Paprika… Did you know that these & other common household spices are great to have on hand for household ailments!  Find out how to incorporate spices into your daily lifestyle to boost immunity and prevent disease.
Herbs for Ceremony (Herbal How-to)
with Ceara Foley, Sunday 9:00-10:30
Incorporate herbs into daily self-healing rituals as well as seasonal celebrations. Focus your intentions and manifest your desires with herbal allies. Prepare incenses, oils, floor washes, spiritual bath blends, and personalized perfumes infused with power and purpose.
Classic Kitchen Remedies (Herbal How-to)
with Lena Bezman, Saturday 9:00-10:30
