Lake Eden
As you drive up the tree-shaded lane onto the grounds of Camp Rockmont and first look out across Lake Eden to the Black Mountains rising behind, you know you are in a magical place. The site of the former Black Mountain College, Rockmont has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a beautiful natural setting - 550 acres of mountainous woodlands, including a 20 acre private lake.

Rockmont offers a wide variety of camping options, with car camping and tent camping available. Car camping is limited to designated lots. Tent campers can choose from a few areas including mountain top and lakeside. Campers have access to porta-potties, handwashing sinks, and common showers. Camping is included in the registration fee. |

Single beds in shared cabins and full cabin rentals are available. Cabins have bunk beds with bare mattresses and access to a designated bathroom/shower house that is shared by women in neighboring cabins. Most cabins are accessible via stairs, some of which are quite steep. Weekend price for a single bed in a shared cabin is $35, and a full cabin rental is $250. Cabins sleep 9 women. |

Bunkhouses are located on the top floor of the lodges. Each room has a single toilet and sink. Communal showers and larger bathrooms are conveniently located downstairs. The lodges are centrally located and only a short walk from conference activities. Weekend price for a bed in a bunkhouse is $60. Each bunkhouse sleeps 14 women

Birch and Buckeye Lodges are located in the heart of the camp. Each room sleeps 10 women and is divided in half by a shared bathroom with a toilet and sink. Communal showers are located right down the hall. The lodges are the least rustic lodging option. There will be childcare or classes taking place in the same building. Weekend price for lodge bed is $80.

Mama Gerties (828-686-4258 www.mamagerties.com) is an RV campground only 10-15 minutes from the camp.
Lake Eden Events (828-713-9471 www.lakeedenevents.com) has a few cabins and homes for rent. The best part is they are right next door to the camp! Book early, these will fill up quickly.
Local residents are welcome to leave the camp to sleep at home.
Food Options
To help feed the hungry bellies at the conference, we have called in some of Asheville’s best known and most loved food vendors to serve up some of their specialties! We are so excited about the variety of their offerings and can’t wait to try a little of everything. The food vendors will be offering meals for sale Friday lunch to Sunday lunch, and all the meals and snack times in between. We're excited to have so many food choices at this year's Southeast Women's Herbal Conference.

The Sweet Monkey has been filling the bellies of the Southeast Women’s Herbal Conference participants for the past 7 years! Their treats, coffee, and chocolate bring smiles to many faces, while the options for hearty breakfasts, lunches, and dinners keep women coming back again and again. They have an assortment of vegan, vegetarian, and meat lovers soups, as well as an India Night dinner with homemade coconut curry and pumpkin pancakes. They make their food by hand and with love. If there are people to feed and fun to be had, count The Sweet Monkey in! |

Veggie Love serves a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free dishes, in addition to a special selection of raw entrees and snacks. Using local and organic ingredients whenever possible, they have a 90% Organic Policy and seek to serve high-quality and delicious vegetarian food throughout the weekend. Veggie Love can accommodate any diet, so don’t be bashful ~ tell them what you need! |

Gypsy Queen Cuisine is your weekend source for delicious Lebanese Food. They use local and organic meats and produce, and everything is made fresh with no additives. Items you will find on the menu: Falafels (their specialty), Chicken and Lamb Shawarmas (their version of gyro), Hommus, Baba Ghanouj, Tabouli, and whatever is in season that they get inspired to cook. For drinks, enjoy lavender infused lemonade, date and carob juice, or mint tea. |

The Roadrunner, aka the Pink Taco Truck offers Southwestern cuisine with a Native American twist! She'll be serving breakfast burritos and tacos in the morning, and a more diverse menu for lunch and dinners, including traditional Navajo tacos, tamales, traditional tacos, a few appetizers, and a Jamaica (hibiscus flower) spritzer or tea. Enjoy delicious meals made with local hormone-free meats and as much local produce as available. |
NOURISHING TRADITIONS MEAL TICKETS
We have a limited number of Nourishing Traditions Meal Tickets for sale: a farm-fresh, local, seasonal menu with a focus on meat, dairy, and veggies. Does not accommodate vegetarian or dairy-free diets. The cost for 6 meals (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch) is $58 for adults and $28 for children (ages 2-10). Meals include teas and herbal infusions, coffee or soft drinks are not provided. |
