Introductions ~ Can we begin with who we all are?

Leanne:
Welcome, dare2 and Anna! We're very glad you're here. Please feel free to post any comments or questions you may have in the forum. We're all here to learn from one another. :)

Hi! I'm Sara, a 23 year old college student, mother of a toddler, and "homesteader." My interest in herbal medicine began about 7 or 8 years ago. I attended Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC where I was fortunate to meet Corinna Wood at a wild foods workshop. I really enjoyed it.

I am currently starting my second year on my farm in Louisiana, and only this year am I really getting much done with the gardens, as the first year I was quite busy with a little baby. I've spent the past year wandering the property and learning all of the wild-growing herbs and edible food plants on the property. I've discovered at least 20-25 different plants that can be used as food and I am sure there must be more.

I am still interested in herbal medicine, but I am MORE interested in nourishing wild plants that are not necessarily medicinal but are healthful.

I look forward to meeting you all and being involved in the discussions.

debbie:
Hi,

I'm Debbie. I started learning about herbs three years ago when I moved to Earthaven. I make a few of my own medicines, including garlic honey, elderberry juice, and echinacea extract. I am the web weaver for Southeast Wise Women and Red Moon Herbs, and also a co-owner and nursery manager for Useful Plants Nursery. We grow a lot of phytonutritional and medicinal plants. Our website is: usefulplants.org.

I look forward to connecting on the forum. Perhaps we can have a time at the conference where all the women on the forum can meet to match up names and faces.

Blessings.

That would be wonderful!
