Written by Corinna Wood, Posted in Self Love, Sisterhood, Homepage Item

We are delighted to bring gina Breedlove, Sound Healer and Medicine Woman, from the West Coast, to the Conference this October.

gina breedlove reachingThrough her Vibration of Grace™ sound healing, gina Breedlove invites women to know and experience the power of our own voices, in an ancient practice of healing. Using intentional sound, she invites us to harmonize within our body, focus our thoughts and ground ourselves in the present moment helping to create ease, wellness, embodiment and so much more

On Saturday night of the Herbal Conference, Breedlove will bring her Folksoul music to the stage at the Sisters of Soul Concert. Folksoul is “a coalescence of Rhythm & blues, with storytelling cadences of Folks, Soul and the gospel truth…music that lifts the Spirit, opens the heart and allows one to find their way."

Some have called gina’s music healing artistry. As Alice Walker says, “Gina Breedlove’s Sound Healing is Magical, Profound, Wonderful, and yes, Healing”

Gina began performing at the age of 15, singing back up for jazz-singer Phylis Hyman. She has performed with many leading artists including Toshi Reagon, Ani DiFranco, Harry Belefonte, Sekou Sundiate, Ronny Jordan, Holly Near, and Bernice Johnson Reagon. We are honored to be on gina's tour schedule this fall!

On Saturday night, come savor the inspiring songs of female musicians in our second annual Sisters of Soul Concert featuring gina Breedlove accompanied by Ash Devine.

Opening artists include social justice activist and artist Heather Mae, and Asheville’s own Leeda “Lyric” Jones, who gracefully intertwines Soul, R&B, Funk, and even a little Hip-Hop.

When we gather, in addition to the compelling classes, there's even more to experience! Read more about these musicians, and other exciting activities from dawn to dusk at the Herbal Conference . . .
