Arrival

act 2014 10 getting there carpooling hi resFor arrival on Thursday, we offer an Early Arrival option for $35. Check-in will be open from 4:30pm - 6:30pm. The additional fee covers your early arrival and access to your lodging Thursday night. If you would like to arrive on Thursday, you must select Early Arrival on your registration form and pay the additional fee. We cannot accommodate arrivals after dark. Plan accordingly.

For arrival on Friday, check-in will be open from 7:30am - 6:30pm. We cannot accommodate arrivals after dark. Plan accordingly.

When you arrive at the camp, you will be directed to a temporary check-in parking lot. After finding a parking space, make your way to the Check-in Tent. You do not need to bring any paperwork with you, we will have your information ready. We organize check-in by first name, so just find the table with the first letter of your first name on it. You will be given a nametag that will serve as your access to classes and activities throughout the weekend, as well as information you need about the options (lodging, meals, youth programs, intensives, workshops, etc) you signed up for. If options are still available (not sold out), you will be able to add those when you check-in. You will also receive a Program Guide that contains the most updated class schedule, class descriptions, a campus map, and much more.

Parking

Once you are checked-in, you will be directed to a luggage drop near your assigned lodging or chosen camping area to unload all of your supplies for the weekend. Then you will drive to a satellite parking lot. You should be prepared to walk back to your lodging after parking your car, which could take 5-10 minutes. We will run some shuttles from the farthest lots.

Getting There

Driving / Carpooling

Camp Rockmont is located between the towns of Black Mountain and Asheville, NC, about 10-15 minutes from Interstate 40. Driving directions to the camp, as well as an address for GPS navigation, will be included in your Welcome Letter.

Due to the increasing size of our group and the limited amount of parking on-site, please carpool or share a ride if you can.

  • Keep your gas and vehicle costs down
  • Meet new friends before you even get here
  • Go green on the Earth
  • Relax and enjoy/share the ride

To connect with other participants who have a ride to share or are searching for a ride to join check out our Rideshare event on facebook.

Flying

Three airports are within a half hour to two hour drive; Asheville, NC, Greenville, SC, and Charlotte, NC. Although the conference does not provide ground transportation to or from the airports, each of those airports have regional ground transport services, and with our rideshare system, you can post to connect with other women arriving around the time that you are.

If you fly into the Asheville airport, we recommend one of these ground transportation services (estimate $30-60 from airport to the camp)

  • Cabhound Asheville (844-AVLRIDE)
  • GrandyCo (844-GRANDYCO)
