The Sisters of Soul Concert
Savor the inspiring songs of female musicians in concert:
gina Breedlove
Medicine Woman gina Breedlove is as dangerous and delightful as this earth we share. "FolkSoul" is the signature Sound of this versatile Singer & Songwriter, who defies and redefines genre. gina began performing at the age of 15, singing back up vocals for the incomparable Phylis Hyman. She went on to tour internationally with legendary artist/activist Harry Belafonte, as his featured vocalist. gina has performed with many amazing Artists; Toshi Reagon, Ani DiFranco, Sekou Sundiate, Ronny Jordan, Holly Near, and Bernice Johnson Reagon, to name a few. An actor as well, gina created the role of "Sarabi" in the Broadway production of "The Lion King". In 2015, gina appeared in 2 Spike Lee films; "Living Da Dream", & "Chi-Raq". Since 2010, gina has been touring her original Music, holding Sound Healing circles where ever she lands.

Heather Mae
Heather Mae was once just a folk songwriter with a ukulele but after recovering from vocal nodules – which left her unable to sing for two years – she is stretching the limits of her music and her voice. Noted as an “empowering artist” by FLURT Magazine and “charming” by The Washington Post, Heather Mae is using her music to shed light on issues that are close to her heart such as body positivity, mental health, LGBTQ rights, and redefining what it means to be “good enough”.

Lyric
Leeda “Lyric” Jones is a singer-songwriter, musician, and music teacher, born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. It is safe to say that music is in her blood: her grandfather played harmonica and guitar with the late blues legend B.B. King, and father, who plays bass in her band has been playing in bands since his teenage years. Lyric draws inspiration from Lizz Wright, India Arie, Tracy Chapman, and Lauryn Hill, which isn’t surprising once one hears the way she gracefully intertwines Soul, R&B, Funk, and even a little Hip-Hop.

Ash Devine
Award winning songwriter, folk rock musician, caring clown Ash Devine is based the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville North Carolina. Ash Devine’s folk Fusion style gleans sounds of Appalachian traditional folk, americana-pop and classic rock. Ash Devine is an accomplished instrumentalist on finger-style and Flat Pick style Guitar and innovative original Ukulele picking style.
