Food and Lodging for the Wise Woman Immersion

Food
Nourishment is at the foundation of the Wise Woman Tradition. And the Wise Woman Immersion Menu is an education in itself—about nourishment; about simple preparation methods that increase the nutrient availability in food; about herbal and wild foods. Seasonal foods are woven together with recipes primarily from Sally Fallon’s Nourishing Traditions cookbook, which is also a text for the class. Prepared from scratch, of primarily local ingredients from organic farms, these meals draw gasps and exclamations all week long!
“OMG! The food was incredible!”
“I thought I was lactose intolerant, until I tried it this way, fermented into yogurt and crème fraiche the old-fashioned way, as lactose is meant to be eaten—with the lactase enzymes intact!”
“After eating this way for a week—both delicious and deeply nourishing and digestible—there’s no going back!”
